About Us

The Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. In keeping with this premise, we, the members of Church on the Hill, subscribe to the "Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000. We, the members of this church, associate ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ the crucified, buried, risen, and ascended Son of God of the Trinity of God the Father, God the Son - Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.

Church on the Hill accepts the Holy Bible as the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice. All other church documents and practices must be in keeping with it. We believe in the so-called 5 Solas of the Reformation, that is Sola Scriptura (sole authority of the Scriptures), Solus Christus (salvation is in Christ alone), Sola Fide (through faith alone), Sola Gratia (by grace alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (glory to God alone).

We believe and teach the Word of God in the tradition and truth found in Reformed theology. We believe in doing so, we are in agreement with not only Scripture itself, but the Apostle Paul, untold millions of faithful believers, and scores of Baptist missionaries, preachers, pastors, evangelists, theologians, and laypersons.
